Roddick win at Stella Artois Championship

Former champions Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt will meet in the semi-finals of the Stella Artois Championship after enjoying comfortable victories at Queen’s Club yesterday.

Hewitt remains on course for a record-equalling fourth title by beating Russia’s Igor Andreev 6-3 7-5 in the first quarter-final.

And defending champion Roddick may have broken his own record for the fastest recorded serve on his way to a 6-3 6-3 victory over Thailand’s Paradorn Srichaphan.

The US Open champion fired down an ace in the second game of the second set which was recorded at 153mph, and which, if verified, will surpass his previous record of 152mph achieved in the Davis Cup against Sweden earlier this year.

Grosjean will face Hyung-Taik Lee in the semi-finals after the Korean defeated Slovakia’s Karol Beck in straight sets.
