Mcdonnell awarded coach of the year

John McDonnell has been named coach of the year following another successful season as men’s head coach at the University of Arkansas.

The Mayoman led the Razorbacks to their 11th NCAA outdoor crown and 39th overall national title with 65.5 points at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships 10 days ago.

The success earned him the US Track Coaches Association (USTCA) title as the Mondo National Outdoor Coach of the Year for NCAA Division I track & field.

McDonnell saw four of his athletes claim individual titles in Austin, Texas, including Irish star Alistair Cragg following his 10,000m victory.
