Caulfield appointment at Clarion University

Irish 800 metres national indoor record holder Daniel Caulfield has been appointed track and field head coach at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

The 32-year-old former Irish international will take charge of both men’s and women’s teams at the university near Pittsburgh, as well as the cross-country teams.

It is Caulfield’s first head coach appointment and follows a successful stint as an assistant coach at Adams State College in Colorado, a role in which he served from 1998-2004 and where he received a Masters degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation in 1999.
