Ireland face a crucial tie against Lativia today at the Federation Cup European/Africa Zone Group 2 tournament in Malta after losing out yesterday to Luxembourg.

Luxembourg nailed the match in the singles, Anne Kremer beating Yvonne Doyle 6-2; 6-0 and Claudine schaul beating Kelly Liggan 6-2; 7-5.

A win against Latvia will take the Irish squad into tomorrow’s promotion playoffs.
