ireland take on Britain today in a promotion playoff tie at the Federation Cup European/Africa Zone Grp 2 tournament in Malta after beating Latvia in the last of their group ties to lie second to Luxembourg.

Yvonne Doyle beat Liga Dekmeijere 7-5 6-4 and Kelly Liggan beat Anzela Zguna 6-3 6-4.
