Master McEwen on top in Oz

Robbie McEwen continues to dominate the Jacobs Creek Tour Down Under in Australia after stage two.

McEwen won the second stage into Tanunda after some good work by Irish road race champion David O’Loughlin

“I thought after going over the final climb of the day, that the odds favoured the break and I was looking forward to getting a stage win, but McEwen’s team, Davitamon-Lotto upped the pace and brought the race together for his back to back wins in the tour,” said O’Loughlin, who finished off the pace for his heroic effort.

Ciaran Power finished safely in the main pack with the same time as the stage winner with 3hrs 43mins 28secs.
