Swiss triumph for Murrey

Irish cyclist Padraig Marrey (Western Lakes CC) scored a major international win when he won the Mastes section at the Berne Grand Prix yesterday.

Marrey, who is in Switzerland to undergo a three-month coaching course, came home first of 240 starters to record the biggest win of his career.

Marrey, an employee of Cycling Ireland, coached Mark Scanlon to win the World Junior title in 1998.
