Mercy Mounthawk golfer Lucy Grattan went back-to-back in the All-Ireland Schools as she claimed the Senior Girls trophy at Lucan.
The 18-year-old from Tralee was the first player to win the new individual crown last year, when she finished ahead of Ella Cantwell and Ella Proctor.
Leona and Lisa Maguire are still out in front, having won three titles with Loreto College Cavan between 2008 and 2010, but Grattan has now replicated Olivia Costello’s heroics with Convent of Mercy from 2023 and 2024.
She finished on two-under par and on 38 stableford points, Isobel Byrne (St Mary’s College) was back on four-over with 32 points, alongside Ella Cantwell (Killina Presentation Secondary School).

“I got off to a bit of a rough start, a double on the second but I holed a great few putts so I was very happy,” said Grattan.
“My putting was really, really good. My pace and my lines were very good and my course management was really good as well.
“I’m really proud and I’m delighted to represent my school.”
Freddie Bracken won the All-Ireland Schools Boys title after a superb four-under par total and 40 points, in a round which included a brilliant seven birdies.
The Blackrock College teenager, who will also turn his focus to the Leaving Cert now, won the Fred Daly trophy with Portmarnock last year after he helped the Leinster Boys to Interprovincial success.
And the 17-year-old finished two shots ahead of Christian McDermott (Swords Community College) and the pair of Cian McDonnell (CBC Cork) and Tadhg Murphy (Newbridge College) back on one-under.
“Just a bit up and down all day, had a tough middle but some nice putts towards the end,” said Bracken.
“I thought the scoring was going to be lower so I was pushing for some birdies but I was pretty happy. I played Irish Boys here four or five years ago and it’s pretty good to me. I’m a fan of this course.
“I’m going to Fairhaven Trophy next week, I’ll be playing most of the boys events but I need to do the Leaving first, so gotta be head in the books now focusing for that.”
The Abbey School golfer Eamon Kelly took home the Junior Boys. He shot 41 points and finished joint-top of the standings with Eamon Tully (Clonfert College), winning on the back nine. Zak Williamson (Rainey Endowed School) was in third on 39 points.
Mount Sackville golfer Sadhbh Hussey won the Junior Girls title. She shot 52 points, to finish just ahead of Emma Herbison (Our Lady & St Patrick’s College) on 50 points and Ana Gaztambide (St Vincent’s School) who was five points further in arrears.
