CARD SECURED: Áine Donegan has secured her playing rights on the Ladies European Tour card for 2026 after she obtained her tour card in Morocco.

Áine Donegan has secured her playing rights on the Ladies European Tour card for 2026 after she obtained her tour card in Morocco.

The Lahinch golfer is "over the moon" after she finished for a tie of fifth place at the Lalla Aicha Q-School in Marrakech and was on of 20 players to earn the full LET cards for the 2026 season.

Donegan was tied with Scotland's Hannah Darling, Georgia Oboh of Nigeria and France's Emma Grechi on 13-under par for the four rounds at Al Maaden Golf and Royal Golf Marrakech, six shots behind top qualifier Poland's Dorota Zalewska.

Donegan and Darling were part of the 2024 winning Curtis Cup team. The duo will now join teammates Sara Byrne, Mimi Rhodes, Lottie Woad and Lorna McClymont on the LET next season alongside former Irish teammate Anna Foster.

They will all be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Dubliner Lauren Walsh who finished in the top 10 on the order of the merit this year and earned her LPGA tour card earlier in December.

“I think there’s kind of an added pressure from being on that team because everyone has done so well,” Donegan said. “I’m over the moon, to be honest. It got a bit emotional there on 18 when I made that final putt.”
