Tom McKibbin shot 68 for his second round at the Irish Open, moving him into contention on five-under heading into the weekend. He’s two shots off the clubhouse leaders Thorbjørn Olesen and Daniel Hillier.
McKibbin carded five birdies and a bogey on Friday. Those birdies included him sinking a 25-foot putt on the 17th and a 33-foot putt on the seventh. The scores came despite him suffering problems with his driving.
