The overnight obituaries for Ireland’s hopes at the Masters were a bit premature.

Rory McIlroy recovered from a late Thursday collapse to post the low score on Friday, vaulting from 25 places up the leaderboard to third place with a bogey-free 6-under 66 at Augusta National.
