Sullivan grabs first round lead at Alfred Dunhill

England’s Sullivan struck eight birdies in a blemish-free eight-under-par round of 64 round to take the first round lead.

Tom McKibbin and Conor Purcell had contrasting opening rounds at the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek.

McKibbin carded a three-under-par 69 with the Holywood man sitting five shots off the leader Andy Sullivan.  Purcell has a tough start finishing his opening round on three-over 75 in his first start as a fully fledged DP World Tour member.
