Leona Maguire starts Solheim Cup fourballs after being omitted from foursomes

Europe's bid to retain the Solheim Cup got off to a poor start as they lost the opening foursomes 3-1

Ireland's Leona Maguire has been selected to start in the fourballs for Team Europe at the Solheim Cup. The Cavan golfer was earlier omitted from the foursomes by European captain Suzanne Pettersen.

Maguire has been paired with Georgia Hall. They take on Nelly Korda and Megan Khang in the opening match.
