Leona Maguire went back to the putting green on Friday as the home favourite targeted a Saturday surge at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.
Maguire, 29, is looking for the sort of third-round score that propelled her into the mix when her national open was renewed at Dromoland Castle two years ago. It was a 65 in Co. Clare, backed up with a final-round 68 that gave her hope of become the Women’s Irish Open’s first homegrown champion.
