PÁDRAIG Harrington has returned once more to the winner's enclosure on the PGA Champions Tour, sealing a third straight victory at the DICKS Sporting Goods Open at Endicott, New York.

He is the first player to win the same PGA Tour Champions event three consecutive seasons since Bernhard Langer achieved the feat at the Kaulig Companies Championship (2014-16).

The Dubliner closed out with a 68, fired by an early eagle, to win by a shot from Canadian leftie Mike Weir. Harrington’s nine senior tour rounds at En-Joie have all been in the 60s, with a high of 69 to open the 2023 event and a low of 63 to round out his second-consecutive win last year. Sunday's 68 gives him an aggregate of 49 under par.

After a Saturday 67, Harrington made three on the par 5 third and though he gave one back on the forth hole, he birdied No's 6, 8 and 9 to turn in four under, 33. Though he bogeyed ten he made amends with another gain on the 15th for a 68 and a one shot win.

"We get to relive our past glories," he reflected afterwards, "but I'm still nervous playing 18 there, I've got 102 yards and I am trying to figure out, saying don't mess this up. I thought when you win this three times, you get a DICKS Superstore," he smiled.

Playing ahead of him, Weir shaved the hole for birdie on the last, but Harrington stayed in front with a clutch up and down on 17.

The victory is Harrington's 8th in total since he joined the Champions Tour in 2022. The victory Sunday will bring his earnings on the senior tour to over six million dollars. This is his second victory this season having already bagged the Hoag Classic at Newport Beach.
