US OPEN STREAKS: Sergio Garcia extends his personal streak to 25 consecutive U.S. Opens played.

A couple of streaks came down to the 11th hour of U.S. Open week to get extended, and the former Masters champions who received late invitations into the U.S. Open are trying to take full advantage of the opportunity.

Both Adam Scott and Sergio Garcia lost automatic spots into the field in playoffs at final qualifying – Scott losing on the third extra hole against fellow Australian Cam Davis in Springfield, Ohio, and Garcia on the first hole of a 7-for-6 playoff in Dallas, Texas. They each got put on the alternate list.
