The question rambled a bit about breadth of Shane Lowry’s season – a partnership win with Rory McIlroy, a 62 at the PGA Championship, some decent finishes, an 85 on Sunday at Memorial … Lowry saw through the awkward attempt to bury the lead.

“You’re saying that with a smile on your face,” he said. “Too much smiling.”
