US Open Tee Times: Rory McIlroy paired with Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele

For the second time this major season, the world Nos. 1, 2 and 3 will head off together in a major championship, which means Rory McIlroy will get to match his game straight up against reigning Masters winner Scottie Scheffler and PGA champion Xander Schauffele.

Scheffler, Schauffele and McIlroy will headline the afternoon wave at the 124th U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, teeing off the first hole at 18:14 pm Irish time. They’ll play again Friday off the 10th tee at 12:29 pm Irish time.

Three groups behind them off the same first tee at 18:47 pm Irish time will be Ireland’s Shane Lowry with American Keegan Bradley and Germany’s Martin Kaymer, the 2014 U.S. Open champion the last time it was played at Pinehurst. On Friday, Lowry plays off the 10th at 13:02 pm Irish time.

In the first group of the day at 11:45 am Irish time off the 10th tee on Thursday, Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbin will make his major championship debut with Italy’s Matteo Manassero and Rico Hoey of the Phillippines. They start off the first on Friday at 17:30 pm.

Directly behind McKibbin off the 10th at 11:56 am Irish time is Ireland’s Séamus Power, playing with South Africa’s Dean Burmester and Japan’s Rikuya Hoshino. On Friday, Power heads off the first at

17:41 pm Irish time.
