For anyone who imagined entry into the World Golf Hall of Fame to represent some sort of final act in a storied career, next Monday’s induction of Pádraig Harrington may come as something of a jolt to preconceived perceptions.

“I’m still hoping to catch lightning in a bottle,” Ireland’s three-time major winner said on Wednesday as he prepared for the ceremony at the World Golf Hall Of Fame’s new Pinehurst Village location in North Carolina that will confirm his place in the game’s rich pantheon.
