Having the best putting week of his career and coming off nearly the greatest major championship round of all time, Shane Lowry couldn’t keep the momentum going in a PGA Championship shootout on Sunday at Valhalla Golf Club.
Lowry fired a 1-under 70 in the final round, not nearly enough to keep pace with the front-runners and win his second career major as he settled for tied sixth with Justin Rose at 14-under – seven behind winner Xander Schauffele.
