Rory McIlroy and Pádraig Harrington continue to push for the PGA Tour to make a deal with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia to heal the fracture in the game made by LIV Golf. Neither believes that a solution is close enough at hand.
McIlroy lamented on Wednesday the resignation earlier in the week from the PGA Tour Policy Board of Jimmy Dunne, the man who began the process of bringing the PGA Tour and PIF’s governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan together last year. Dunne said his role on the board felt “utterly superfluous.”
