Cavan's Leona Maguire was unable to build on her excellent second round dropping to 35th after a round of 71 at the LPGA's Ford Championship in Gilbert, Arizona.

Spain's Carlota Ciganda is in a share of a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard after a six-under par 66. Joining Ciganda are Hyo Joo Kim from South Korea who hit a three-under 69 and Sarah Schmelzel who shot a two-under 70 on a windy day in the desert.
