Louis Oosthuizen poses with the Alfred Dunhill Championship trophy.

Louis Oosthuizen claimed a two-shot victory in the weather-delayed finish to the Alfred Dunhill Championship in Leopard Creek, South Africa.

Joint leaders Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel had completed just four holes of the final round on Sunday when play was suspended due to the threat of lightning.

Oosthuizen, the 2010 Open champion, pulled away from his rival on Monday then survived a nervy finish to reach an 18-under-par total of 270, two shots clear of his South African compatriot as he claimed his 10th DP World Tour title - five years since his last.

"This is one of the tournaments that I've always wanted to win," the 41-year-old said on the DP World Tour website.

"The golf course was unbelievable. I can't believe we got a fourth round in with everything we got. It's such a great place to come to, and this is a tournament that I really really wanted."

Marco Penge was the best-placed British player after carding a final-round 71 to finish on 10-under 278.
