Shane Lowry got a few things off his chest in a pub pep talk with his coach on the eve of the Open and that allowed him to turn up the next day and set the clubhouse lead.

The Offalyman felt he had a few issues with his game having practised around Royal Portrush this week so headed down to the nearby Bushmills Inn with coach Neil Manchip to thrash a few things out.
