Infected bite hinders James Sugrue’s Open preparations

James Sugrue is battling an infected bite on his calf to be fit to tee off at the Open Championship on Thursday.

The Amateur Championship winner will join 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke and American Charley Hoffman in the tournament’s first group at Royal Portrush.
