Cork's Anthony Nash trades his hurley for a driver at Fota
Inter-county hurler Anthony Nash took part in the Pro-am golf tournament taking place in Fota Island today ahead of the Irish Open.
The Cork goalkeeper was in a group playing with Scottish professional Marc Warren and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Speaking to the Irish Examiner’s Colm O’Connor after the round, he said:
“Great morning. We were out with Marc Warren today. He was a pleasure, a gentleman to play with, really enjoyed it and he gave us some great tips as well. Which were badly needed, to be fair!”
“The course is unbelievable," Nash said.
"I’ve never experienced anything like it. The crowd are starting to gather and I’d say its going to be a fantastic weekend for Cork, and for Fota, and for golf in general.”
