Tseng stroms into Oregon lead

Yani Tseng surged from five shots back to lead by three going into the final day of the Safeway Classic in Oregon.
Tseng carded a nine-under-par 63, mixing 11 birdies with two bogeys, to reach 18 under overall, three clear of halfway leader Pornanong Phatlum and world number three Suzann Pettersen.
Phatlum, who led after each of the first two rounds, could manage only a one-under 71 third time around, which was good enough for a share of second on 15 under, alongside Pettersen, who carded a 70.
Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist also struck a 63, highlighted by an eagle at the par-five seventh, to head a group of four players on 14 under, which also included world number two Stacy Lewis.
