Lowry the leading Irishman on day two of Irish Open

Shane Lowry remains the leading Irishman on day two of the Irish Open.

The 2009 champion is level par for his round and five-under for the tournament leaving him four shots behind joint leaders Peter Uihlein and Robert Rock, who have yet to be caught at the top of the leaderboard on nine-under par.

Gareth Shaw is on three-under

The projected cut currently stands at level par, which means that Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell are a shot outside that mark having already finished their second rounds.

Despite being just outside the cut bubble, Harrington said that he has got more pressing plans this evening.
