Tiger Woods’ bid for a fifth Masters title remained alive today after he was given a two-shot penalty, rather than disqualification, according to reports.

The Golf Channel reported that Woods was penalised under rule 33-7, which covers a competitor unaware of a penalty returning a wrong score.
