Couples rolls back the years

Fred Couples today claimed the clubhouse lead in the Masters at the age of 53 as Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson both plummeted down the leaderboard.

Garcia shared the overnight lead on six under par after a flawless opening round, but was 10 shots worse today as a swirling wind and brief spell of rain made life difficult for the early starters.
