Lowry finishes as best of the Irish in Italy

Shane Lowry has finished up on 15 under par at the Italian Open.

The Offaly man has carded a final round 69 and is now currently eight shots behind joint leaders Garth Mulroy and Gonzalo Fernandez Castano.

Michael Hoey finished up on 13 under which was one ahead of Damien McGrane.

Gareth Maybin ended the day on 11 under while Peter Lawrie was nine under.
