McIlroy savours second straight success

World number one Rory McIlroy secured his second consecutive PGA Tour victory last night with a near-flawless final round in the BMW Championship at Crooked Stick in Carmel, Indiana.

The Northern Irishman, winner of the Deutsche Bank Championship in Norton last Monday, closed with a five-under-par 67 to finish two shots clear of England’s Lee Westwood and American Phil Mickelson.
