Harrington set to be edged out of Ryder Cup

Padraig Harrington has won three majors and been part of every Ryder Cup since his 1999 debut, while Nicolas Colsaerts has made the cut in only two majors and never played in the Ryder Cup.

But it was the 29-year-old Belgian who was by far the more optimistic about their chance of a wild card from Jose Maria Olazabal when the year-long qualifying race ended last night.
