Two double bogeys in the first group on the first hole gave an early warning that the second round of The Masters was going to be another tough test today.

In much cooler conditions and with rainclouds overhead Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano and American Scott Verplank both missed the opening green and then three-putted it as well to drop to four-over-par and three-over respectively.
