Hunter Mahan has climbed from 22nd to ninth in the world after capturing the Accenture Match Play Championship by beating Rory McIlroy in the final.

It is the American’s first time in the top 10 and his rise pushes Tiger Woods out of the top 20 again. Woods lost in the second round to Nick Watney.
