Tom Lewis, the 20-year-old who shot to fame by leading The Open as an amateur in July, pulled off a sensational victory in only his third professional start today.

The English golfer birdied five of the last seven holes to win the Portugal Masters at Oceanico Victoria against a field that included three-major winner Padraig Harrington and world number six Martin Kaymer.
