Thomas Bjorn made it two wins in a row with a brilliant closing round of 62 at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland today.

Three behind at the start of the final round, just as he was in last week’s Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, the 40-year-old Dane took the first counting event for next year’s Ryder Cup by equalling the lowest round of his 15-year European Tour career.

Trailing German Martin by one, Bjorn played the last five holes in five under with an eagle and three birdies.

On 20 under par Bjorn ended up winning by four from Kaymer and by five from Rory McIlroy, Jaco Van Zyl and overnight leader Jamie Donaldson.

Lee Westwood was in a group one further back after he, like Westwood, shot 70.
