McIlroy climbs to third in world rankings

Irish golfer Rory McIlroy has climbed to third in the golf world rankings after his runaway victory at the US Open last week.

Swede Fredrik Jacobson is up from 110th to 61st in the world after his Travelers Championship win in Cromwell, Connecticut.

Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal climbs 86 spots to 94th after beating Sergio Garcia in a play-off at the BMW International Open in Germany.
