Garcia grabs Munich lead

Sergio Garcia grabbed three birdies in a row and then two eagles in three holes to lead the BMW International Open by two with seven to play in Munich today.

The former world number two, now ranked only 64th after over two and a half years without a win, began his birdie run at the sixth before holing eagle putts from 25 feet at the ninth and nearly 40 feet on the 11th.
