Boyd leading in Munich

England’s Gary Boyd, runner-up in the Italian Open two weeks ago, raced into the early lead at the BMW International Open in Munich today.

While world number three Martin Kaymer began with back-to-back bogeys and remained two over par after eight holes, world number 161 Boyd reached the turn in a five-under 31 and then added another birdie at the 432-yard first.
