Norman and Faldo skip Open

Greg Norman and Sir Nick Faldo, first and second in the record-breaking 1993 Open at Sandwich, will not be involved in this year’s championship at the Kent course.

The 56-year-old Australian underwent further shoulder surgery in February and, like Faldo, has not filed an entry for the July 14-17 event.
