Ferrie sails into contention in Malaga

Former European Open champion Kenneth Ferrie put himself into contention for the Andalucian Open in Malaga with a brilliant third-round run today.

Only two under par after seven holes and still six strokes off the lead, the Northumberland golfer followed three successive birdies with an eagle at the long 12th.
