Matteson takes control in Puerto Rico
Troy Matteson shot a six-under-par round of 66 to take a three-shot lead into the final round of the Puerto Rico Open.
The 31-year-old American took control of the event at Rio Grande, reaching 16 under with seven birdies and a bogey.
Hunter Haas is Matteson’s closest challenger after his second successive round of 68, with fellow American Michael Bradley a shot further back – also after a 68.
