Mickelson closes in on leaders

Phil Mickelson came on strong late in the day to move within four strokes of leader Tommy Gainey at the half-way point of the weather-blighted Phoenix Open in Arizona.

With final round action set for Monday after frost continued to affect the TP Scottsdale course, second rounds were finished today with Mickelson rising to the occasion.
