Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker have beaten English duo Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher in the final game of the first fourballs session of the Ryder Cup.

The United States lead 2.5 to Europe's 1.5 after the first rain-delayed session at the Celtic Manor.
