McIlroy to partner McDowell, Harrington with Donald

The captains have announced their first pairings for the 2010 Ryder Cup at the Celtic Manor in Wales.

As expected, tomorrow's fourballs will see Rory McIlroy partner fellow Ulsterman Graeme McDowell against Stewart Cink and Matt Kuchar of the United States in the second game of the day.

Ireland's Padraig Harrington will partner Luke Donald against two rookies Bubba Watson and Jeff Overton in the final fourballs game.

Colin Montgomerie also named English duo Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher to face Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker.

For the first game Corey Pavin announced that Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson will face Lee Westwood and Germany's Martin Kaymer.
