Jim Furyk’s win at the Tour Championship – by a shot from England’s Luke Donald - sees America go into their defence of the Ryder Cup this week with four of the world’s top five players.

Furyk moves above German Martin Kaymer into fifth place, while the leading four stay the same – Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and Steve Stricker.

Mickelson has now now failed in 12 attempts this season to replace Woods at the head of things.

Donald moves up a spot to eighth and Ernie Els returns to the top 10.
