Shigeru Nonaka claimed the first Japan Golf Tour title of his career with a three-stroke victory at the Kansai Open Golf Championship today.

The 39-year-old, who is in his 19th season on the tour, started the day a shot behind overnight leader Takuya Taniguchi but carded four birdies and two bogeys at Tanabe Country Club for a two under 68.

Azuma Yano finished second after surging up the leaderboard with a six-under-par 64 while Toru Taniguchi claimed third place following a four under 66.

Takuya Taniguchi shot a disappointing 74 to share fourth place with Kazuhiro Yamashita (68) and Australian Chris Campbell (66).
