Rain delays Stockhom start

Torrential overnight rain forced a delay in the final round of the Nordea Scandinavian Masters at Bro Hof Slott near Stockholm today.

Play was due to begin at 6.30am, but that was put back four hours.

By splitting the field in half and putting them in threeballs off the first and 10th tees, however, it meant that leaders Richard Johnson and KJ Choi had to wait only 37 minutes longer to start.

They were now joined in the final group by Open champion Louis Oosthuizen, one behind on nine under par after ending his third round with a bogey.

The 27-year-old South African has the chance to be the first player ever to win the Open and then another European Tour title seven days later.

Although conditions were improving, a further 30-minute delay was announced, pushing the final group's tee-off time back to 12.40pm local time.
