Khan shoots up world rankings
Simon Khan has climbed a massive 365 places on the world rankings to 106th following his stunning BMW PGA Championship victory at Wentworth.
It continues the amazing rollercoaster ride of the Essex player’s career.
He reached as high as 69th four years ago after finishing runner-up in the same event, but last year managed only one top 10 finish all season and had to go back to the European Tour qualifying school.
Khan won that, however, and last Monday received an invitation to the Tour’s flagship event. Now he has won that as well, he has a five-year Tour exemption and a place in the next three Open Championships.
